Spaceship! Spaceship! Spaceship! Spaceship! Spaceship! Spaceship! Spaceship! Spaceship! Spaceship!
How I miss old blue Spaceship theme from Lego. And Benny, with that faded away logo, and the detail of the broken helmet really make me recall good old times. I am missing them so much that the new spaceship from The LEGO Movie, already on sale, is tempting me so much.
But let me get back to the movie. First, the story is counter-nature. All adults I know that like to play with LEGO do not glue their constructions. The only persons I know that glue constructions are from LEGO. Now, that adults might not like to play with children, that might be true, just like older children do not like to play with small kids. In any case, let me state that I want to have kids, and want to have kinds in the age of playing with LEGO, just to have an excuse to buy LEGO sets.
The animation in this movie is great. It is very cool that everything (with few exceptions) is LEGO. For example, in the image above (not easy to see, probably) all that white mass is dust. The same happens with fog and water. They are all made of LEGO. Just great.
Although I did not like much the LEGO-Human interaction (I would prefer a simple all-LEGO movie), there are some details that are very cool. For example, how the ghost bellow have a small string attached.
Voted 9 in 10. Waiting for the second movie. And for that SPACESHIP! Spaceship! Spaceship!
