Finished the first season of House. Although the first episodes were quite boring (it seemed that they were just following the sickness list by order) some story arose between the main characters making it funnier to watch. Nevertheless, the stories are all independent making it easy to watch from time to time without getting lost on what is going on.
Curiously enough, probably the episode that I didn’t like much was the one different from all the other ones, and the one where Carmen Electra (above) is present on the show. But now that I am looking to those legs, the screen freeze is really good…
Yeah, it is quite old. Six years are gone, and this is my first House episode. You know, there is some limitations when you do not own cabled TV. Anyway, now that I got up-to-date on V and Castle and (almost) for Nikita, I decided to start another series. Yes, I still have a lot of episodes from Knight Rider (2009) to watch, but I am not very happy with them. Always watching and expecting it to get better.
Anyway, back to House. I think my main problem here will be understanding all the medical terms they use. Nevertheless, the story was easy to follow. And I like Hugh Laurie acting.
Before ending, just a cool quote:
House – People don’t want a sick doctor.
?? – That’s fair enough. I don’t like healthy patients.
There isn’t much fuss about this series. It is kind of a remake of another previous series. I did not watch it, therefore I can’t comment on whether this is better or worst. I saw the first four episodes in the public Portuguese television and that got me curiosity to know how it will end. Yes, how it will end, because this is not a standard series like Castle, Knight Rider, or even Nikita, that have episodes more or less self-contained. In this case, the story grows from episode to episode and… unfortunately, it doesn’t finish with the first season. And this is my main complain on the series.
The story and actors are OK. The FX effects are not bad, although there are some details on how ships fly that annoy me. In the overall I am happy with it, and will wait for the next series.
I just watched what seems to be the first episode from Cat Shit One animated series. It is a small episode, just 20 minutes, in which two rabbits (the ones in the image above) rescue some other rabbits that are taken by a set of camels. I am sorry for the camels, being a Perl programmer. But I must admit that the rabbits are fluffy, cute, and armed to the teeth. I specially love seeing them from behind, looking to their cute bushy tail.
The story is nothing special. Just that, the rescue. But it is fun to watch the rabbits killing the camels.
I was kind of curious of watching this episode. Girls with weapons seems always interesting. Unfortunately the main character, Nikita, is not that nice. Sorry, Maggie Q. The good thing is that we have Lyndsy Fonseca, that is very cute.
Now, about the story: so far, nothing new. Spoilers alert!! There is a division that trains boys and girls to be special agents. Mainly, spies and killers. Nikita escaped, and is angry because they (the division) killed her boyfriend (that wasn’t from division). She wants revenge. Here starts the story.
This first episode did not have much action. A few guys with big guns, but they didn’t use them. Some violence between Nikita and other spies, but nothing really great. Just standard action.
Pilots have a main problem: they waste a lot of the time of the episode to put the watcher aware of the characters story. Therefore, we can’t expect much from the first episode.
I was almost on time. I should have finished to watch the second season of Castle before yesterday. It would be a tribute to the new season. But it wasn’t possible.
Now, what can I say about this second season? Sorry for some spoilers (almost none important): that new police guy that appears in the last episodes does his job too well… I get angry and I got enough of him already. So, I hope he gets forgotten soon. Also, the relationship between Castle and Beckett is more and more tense. That is not good for the overall comedy.
Regarding murders, I am sorry that now episodes doesn’t start with some dead guy. It was like a mark: watching the episode looking to a dead guy. The stories, are just OK. Nothing brilliant, but good enough to keep you watching them.
I though you might be interested to know that I finished watching Castle, season 1. OK, probably you are not interested just on that simple information, but to know something more. Probably you would like to know what I think about it. To tell you that I am preparing to start watching season 2 would would be, probably, enough to make you understand I liked it.
Now, how can I describe Castle? Murders, detectives, Castle and comedy. I will not tell anything from the story, but the series is well constructed. Instead of telling us the full story of the characters in the first episode (that happens in the latest Knight Rider – 2008), in Castle they are built through episodes. You will learn more and more about the main characters, one step at a time. And that information will be somehow connected to the story, they will not just fall from the sky.
Just watched the first episode from Castle. It is always difficult to comment on a series just from the first episode. And this is especially true if you have a first episode that is, unlike of the following (I think), the contextualization of future episodes. I think that is what happened on this.
For now, I can say the episode was interesting and funny enough to make me watch the next one. So, more later…
One more episode from Knight Rider 2008 series. I must say that I am not happy with the cast. Namely, Deanna Russo is not properly attractive (to me). She has blue eyes, she has a nice body, but I do not like her (sorry). Normally, episodes are interesting because we see Smith Cho and she it totally cute. In this episode you can see her in gymnastic outfit, balancing her butt. Sexy. Also, in this episode you can have a look into Kristen Bush. And I think she it hotter than Deanna Russo. But, as we usually say in Portugal, tastes aren’t a discussion subject.
About the story, nothing really new. But watchable for some good time.
More, what’s that Knight Research laptop with a Windows logo? That explains why Kitt needs to reboot so often.
Third episode from Sherlock remake. As far as I could tell, more than one book story used in this episode. Is this planned? Will the series finish right ahead, and will we hear that there weren’t enough plots for more episodes? Let’s wait and see what is going on.
About this episode, better than the second. Probably better than the first. At least fewer dead moments, and some more action.
And, I got happy to see a comment on IMDB saying that the plot is difficult to follow. Great it is not just me.
